Sept. 24, 2025

About 11 months since the last update which was completion of the construction of the surface area of the lower-level loop.

Through long periods of laziness and procrastination, interrupted by short bursts of work, that section of the layout has track down, powered and tested.  Along with the turnout powering and the turnout control panels being built.

Next step is building the connection between the upper and low levels.

Overview picture.

Starting in upper left are the four tank car loading tracks for the refinery.  Moving down the left side are the locations of the refinery storage tanks and the refinery (white paper).  Bottom center is the siding for Valley Citrus and Bailey's Produce.  To their right is the siding for O.K. Coal with its coal dump ramp.

The white risers are the dual track main and in front of them is the branch line.

The open area inside the semi-circle bounded by the main line will be another town housing my assistant's (Marianne) growing collection of Downtown Deco hydrocal kits.

Closer view of the tank car loading tracks coming off the branch line.

The three parallel tracks on the right are the ascending main, descending main and the branch.  At the top center is where they become the arrival and departure tracks for Gravesend Yard.
